Community Involvement

    • Becky is an active member of her Geneva County community. She has been an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church for over 17 years. She has served as Sunday school teacher, children’s church leader and Vacation Bible School director. She has also assisted with the Shiloh Children’s Choir and youth activities.

    • Becky has also been a member of the Hartford Litchfield Sister Cities Exchange program for 15 years. She has served as Director of the Miss Hartford Pageants, a fundraiser for the Sister City organization, for several years. She and her husband, William, have visited Litchfield, Minnesota as delegates from Hartford with a group of students in 2010. They have also hosted a Litchfield resident in their home.

    • Becky is a member of the Geneva County Children’s Policy Council.

    • Becky serves on the Board for the Geneva County Family Resource Center.

    • Becky is a member of the Geneva County Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society for women educators.

    • Becky is a member of CLAS (Council for Leaders of Alabama Schools).

    • Becky is a member of AAESA (Alabama Association of Elementary School Administrators).

    • Becky is a member of CASE (Council for Administrators of Special Education).

    • Becky is a member of the Alabama Education Association and National Education Association (AEA and NEA).

    • Becky has supported many charitable organizations such as The American Cancer Society and the Walk MS event.

  • Becky believes schools and communities should work together for the good of the students. This is why she would form advisory committees consisting of community leaders and stakeholders to enhance community involvement in schools.
